Crush Encounter I – (one-day Saturday Wine Grape Escape)

This one-day wine grape escape lets you Pick, Crush, Sip & Stomp at a popular Paso Robles Winery

Have fun while learning about wine! Get a first-hand look at how wine grapes are harvested and crushed while taking part in the action. Each weekend has a special theme to set the stage for a fun and educational day of winemaking.

Sept. 24 – California Crush at Silver Horse Vineyard - Learn about wine from First Crush and Silver Horse's winemaker Steve Kroener while rockin' out to some live rock and roll. In honor of California Wine Month, this Crush is presented "California style."

Oct. 1 - Calypso Crush at Silver Horse Vineyard & Winery. Pick, Crush, Sip & Stomp in Caribbean style. You'll get to make wine with First Crush and Silver Horse winemaker, Steve Kroner while jammin' to some reggae tunes.

Oct. 15 - Kahuna Crush featuring all of our friends at Cass Winery and Vineyard. We'll be picking grapes from the Cass Vineyard in beach-comber style then munching down at Ted's Taco Bar while groovin' to some funky tunes. You'll meet Steve Cass, winemaker Lood Kotze and Chef Jacob Lovejoy for a great day of fabulous food and fun.

Oct. 22 - Cowboy Crush at Pomar Junction Vineyard & Winery. Kick your harvest festival weekend up a notch by kicking up your heels with First Crush at Pomar Junction. This down-home, country-style crush is going to be a real barn-burner. You'll be among the first to see the new Pomar Junction winery and the only Crush-tomers who get to use it. Features live, foot-stompin' music and western-style barbecue.

PICK - Picking Party at a specially selected Paso Robles vineyard/winery (varies by date)
LEARN
- Paso Wine 101 - an introduction to the Paso Robles Wine Region
- A Taste of Terroir – in a beautiful Paso Robles vineyard, you’ll find out from one of Paso Robles premiere vineyard managers – Lowell Zelinski, Ph.D. – what terroir means and how it affects the wines you love. He’ll also show you the ins and outs of picking wine grapes.
CRUSH – try your hand at crushing wine grapes and see how they begin their transformation into wine
SIP & LEARN about featured wineries’ wines with a gourmet wine country lunch
STOMP – The wine grape stomp with a competitive twist
ENJOY Live music while dining, tasting, crushing and stomping
