This weekend, September 24-25 will officially launch the 2010 harvest season for First Crush.

There’s still time to join us for this fabulous experience for only $350 but you must REGISTER TODAY!  It’s a weekend of wine, food and fun where you get to meet, wine and dine with growers, winemakers and owners from Croad Vineyards, Arroyo Robles Winery, Silver Horse Vineyard and Winery, and of course, First Crush!

Here’s everything included in this wine country experience:
  • “Pure Heaven” Winemaker dinner featuring Croad Vineyard & Winery, Friday September 24, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.  You’ll enjoy a taste of “Pure Heaven” when you taste Croad’s wines paired with the locally-infused wine country cuisine prepared by Chefs James Hauser and Steve Isaac of Catering Unlimited. You’ll be dining under the stars while overlooking the beautiful views of the Paso Robles Westside.  You’ll also get to tour the winery, learn about Croad’s estate, dry-farmed wines and enjoy the fun and casual style of New Zealand owner/winemaker Martin Croad.  You’ll have to ask Martin what “Pure” really means.
  • Champagne Continental Breakfast in the beautiful Silver Horse vineyard where we’ll be harvesting Syrah grapes which are usually reserved only for Silver Horse wines.
  • Meet Winemakers and Growers
    • You’ll get to have breakfast with Bob Shore from Arroyo Robles who will be on hand to pour his sparkling wines, and you’ll have a chance to meet viticulturist Lowell Zelinski and Silver Horse grower/owner Jim Kroener.
    • Crush wine grapes and have lunch with Steve Kroener – owner/winemaker for Silver Horse Winery and First Crush. You’ll have the chance to sort fruit, learn about the crush from the Silver Horse’s mouth and enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch at the beautiful Silver Horse Vineyard & Winery.
  • Tickets to the Silver Horse Bacchanalia – as a special treat for our first harvest guests, your weekend package will include a ticket to the Silver Horse Bacchanalia, Saturday, September 24, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. There will be wine and food pairing stations, a port and chocolate pairing station, live music and much more.
  • Stomp Grapes Like Lucy – we’ll be grape stomping at the Silver Horse party where you’ll have a chance to participate in the First Crush Stomping Competition where you get to feel grapes between your toes and have a chance to win prizes from First Crush and Silver Horse.

BOUNTIFUL HARVEST FEATURING CASS WINERYCass Winery

Can’t make it this weekend?  Join us October 8-9, 2010 for our Bountiful Harvest weekend featuring a winemaker dinner at Cass Winery, breakfast featuring Arroyo Robles sparkling wines and lunch at the Silver Horse Winery.  (Vineyard location is still yet TBD.)

  • "Bounty of the County" Winemaker Dinner
    featuring Cass Winery, Friday October 8, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.  Taste the Bounty of the County at Cass Winery featuring Cass Wineries estate wines paired with the fresh, farm-to-table cuisine prepared by Cass’s own, Chef Jacob Lovejoy.  You’ll have the opportunity to tour the winery and stroll through the vines with owner Steve Cass or winemaker Lood Kotze to see and taste and touch the vines that produced the premium Rhone wines that you will enjoy with your bountiful harvest dinner.
  • Champagne Continental Breakfast in a beatiful Paso Robles vineyard (TBD) 
  • Meet Winemakers and Growers
